Her name is Amber because she is the color of amber, also, I didn't name her, my step-mom did, and I used to know my step-mom through the barn we both ride at, so I knew Amber before she was actually my dog, but now she has been my dog and has been living in the same house as me for a year, so she is my dog now, which makes me happy, because she is a really good dog, and also so beautiful that everyone tells us she is a pretty doggy, and even I thought she was just about the cutest thing I'd ever seen the first time my step-mom brought her to the barn, even though I didn't know she would ever be my dog, which I really didn't even imagine because I've never been allowed to have a dog because my dad travels a lot, but he really loves my stepmom so now we have a dog and he really likes the dog, which is surprising, because it takes a lot for him to like a dog, mainly that the dog not act like a dog, because he has never really liked them that much, but he likes Amber a lot, and she really likes him, which I know because she listens to him better than to me or my step-mom, which I think is because he is a man and bigger than us, so she thinks he is the pack leader, which I guess he is because he takes care of me because I am a child and he takes care of my step-mom because she doesn't like to cook, and I guess the dog sees that and thinks he is the leader, so she listens to him, and she listens to us, too, just not when we tell her to not run away because she'd rather chase birds than stay with us. I like my dog,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,!!.
